Why the Root Chakra Holds the Key to Everything You Are Chasing
Be honest with yourself for one moment.
How much of your day is spent in reality — and how much in fantasy?
Fantasizing about a future where everything is finally okay. Fantasizing about a partner who finally understands you. Fantasizing about a bank balance that finally lets you breathe. Fantasizing about a version of yourself who is thinner, richer, calmer, more enlightened — the version who has arrived.
This is not living. This is escaping.
And the cost is not just wasted time. The cost is that your root chakra — the Muladhara, the very foundation of your entire existence — remains closed.
A closed Muladhara means you are ungrounded. Ungrounded means you are insecure. Insecure means you keep grasping, keep chasing, keep exhausting yourself — and nothing sticks. The money comes and goes. The relationship starts and crumbles. The peace you touch in meditation evaporates the moment you open your eyes.
You blame circumstances. You blame other people. You blame yourself.
The real culprit is simpler: you are not rooted in reality. And nothing can grow without roots.
Mula means root. Adhara means basis. The Muladhara chakra, located at the base of the spine, is quite literally the root and basis of your existence.
When it is open, you are grounded. You feel safe in your own body. Money is not an obsession — it is a tool. Relationships are not a desperate need — they are a natural expression. You walk through life with a quiet, unshakable stability that no external circumstance can disturb.
When it is closed, everything feels precarious. You are constantly scanning for threats. Money anxiety is your background noise. You cling to people. You fear abandonment. You cannot sit still. You cannot rest. You are always waiting — waiting for something to change so you can finally exhale.
This is not a personality type. This is a closed root chakra.
And here is the key: the Muladhara is locked by fantasy.
Here is a truth most teachings will never tell you, because it is uncomfortable.
You are spending your life trying to chisel the world into matching your fantasy.
You want your partner to change. Your boss to change. Your body to change. Your bank account to change. Your children to change. The government to change. You hold a picture in your mind of how things should be, and you spend every waking hour either chasing that picture or resenting that it has not arrived.
You believe: If only this changed, I would finally be happy.
That belief itself is the prison.
It keeps you forever waiting, forever dissatisfied, forever ungrounded. Because reality will never match your fantasy — not because reality is cruel, but because fantasy is, by definition, not real. It is a mental projection. And you cannot root yourself in a projection.
The moment you drop the chisel and face reality as it is — that moment, the Muladhara begins to breathe.
And when the root chakra breathes, everything changes. You stop chasing security and become security. You stop chasing love and become love. You stop chasing life and start living it.
Let me address something directly because I know it is there.
For most people, the Muladhara is most visibly blocked around money. Survival fear. The fear that there will not be enough. The fear that you will lose what you have. The fear that you are one mistake away from ruin.
You may have a comfortable bank balance and still feel this fear. Because the fear is not about the money. The fear is about the unrootedness. When you are not grounded in existence itself, no amount of money will make you feel safe. You could have crores in the bank and still wake up anxious.
This is why Completion is the bridge. You complete the survival fear. You complete the money patterns. You complete the samskaras around scarcity and loss — not by affirming abundance over them, but by facing them fully and dissolving the charge.
When the fear is completed, the Muladhara opens. And from an open root chakra, money flows naturally — not because you are chasing it, but because you are rooted deeply enough to receive it.
Now, I am not saying you should have no desires. That is another fantasy — the fantasy of the "spiritual person" who wants nothing.
The Muladhara carries authentic desire. True desire. The kind of desire that carries its own energy for fulfillment. When a desire is authentic, you do not feel desperate about it. You do not lose sleep over it. You simply know it will happen, and you move toward it with relaxed certainty.
Escapist fantasy feels different. It feels urgent. Desperate. It is a demand that reality be other than it is. It is fueled by incompletion — by the belief that "I am not enough now, but I will be enough when..."
Muladhara Mastery teaches you to tell the difference. To drop the fantasy and honor the authentic desire. Because authentic desire is not against reality — it emerges from reality. And reality always supports what is real.
When this chakra opens — and it can open through the right techniques, through Completion, through grounding practices — here is what changes:
Fear dissolves. Not managed. Not suppressed. Dissolved. The survival anxiety that has been your background noise for decades simply goes quiet.
You become sensitive and loving — not because you are trying to be a good person, but because love is what naturally overflows when fear is no longer consuming all your energy.
Money stops being a problem. Either money comes, or your relationship with it transforms so completely that lack no longer defines your inner state.
You stop chiseling the world. You stop trying to change everyone. And paradoxically, when you stop trying to change them, they often change. Because you are no longer projecting your fantasy onto them — you are finally relating to them as they are.
The higher chakras can function. You cannot build a temple on sand. When the Muladhara is closed, all your spiritual practices are happening on an unsteady foundation. When it opens, meditation deepens naturally. Intuition sharpens. Creativity flows. Because the energy has a root now.
The Invitation
Muladhara Mastery: From Fantasy to Reality is not about visualizing your root chakra glowing red. It is not about chanting a bija mantra and hoping for the best.
It is about doing the real work — completing the fears, dropping the fantasies, and rooting yourself so deeply in existence that nothing can shake you.
Because when you are rooted, you do not need to chase anything. Everything you were chasing starts coming to you.
